I Saw God Working Today

I love it when I see God working!

Once again I have seen a miracle. The same doctor (a very good cardiologist with a great reputation) who told us a few days ago that there was damage to the wall of the heart caused by the heart attack told me today that there is no damage, no stent was needed, neither was it necessary to do an angioplasty. The pictures of the heart look the same as they did several years ago when the previous heart cath was done.

“Some kind of false enzyme reading” was the explanation I heard. Yea right! That would be it if God had not been responding to all the prayers that have gone up on Sandy’s behalf over the last few days. That would be it if God wasn’t in there working that whole thing out so I would have the opportunity to brag about Him some more. That would be it if God didn’t love Sandy so much. But that ain’t it.

Good doctor. But a Geater Physician!

Did I mention that I love it when He does miracles…..especially when I recognize them.

I see this one.

In the Bonds of Calvary,

Strange how things seem to sneak up on you sometimes. I am moving along trying to dot all the i’s and cross all the t’s keeping up with an already crazy schedule and then, just that quick, Sandy has a heart attack.

What? It’s another one of those things that I didn’t expect because those kinds of things (like cancer) happen to other people. So much for the schedule…..

Sandy had a heart attack on Thursday and had to be rushed from the doctors office to the hospital by ambulance. They diagnosed her with pneumonia and later determined that she had in fact had a heart attack that caused some undetermined amount of damage to the lining of the heart.

She is resting comfortably now as they continue to keep her stable. A heart cath is scheduled for Monday.

Please keep Sandy in your prayers.

I’m Standing on the Rock

Jesus said that if we want to follow him we must deny ourselves, and take up our cross daily, and follow him.

If we are going to be the church that stands in the gap, then it is not going to happen in one day,

one revival, one month, or even one year.

I am going to have to get up every day, put on my armor, take up my cross and stand.

My children may try my patience day after day, but that’s all right because I’m going to be standing.

The homosexual agenda will be pushed and promoted day by day, but Iwill still be standing.

Racist policies will try my faith, but I will be standing.

Unemployment may continue to rise, but I will be standing.

Temptation will come, but I will be standing.

I will be standing on the Rock.

I will be standing on the firm foundation of faith founded on the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

And when the storms have come and gone I’ll still be standing.

When the kingdoms have risen and fallen, I’ll still be standing.

When nations have come and gone, I’ll still be standing.

I’ll still be standing because I’ve made the preparation by putting on the powerful armor of the Lord.

I’ll still be standing, becauseI’ve got the determination to keep on keeping on.

I’ll still be standing because I am dedicated to our God, His Word and His will.

It’s time to stand.

It’s time to get up; it’s time to plant our feet on the Rock, Christ Jesus.

It’s time to shine a light that cannot be hid, it’s time to declare a truth that cannot be denied, it’s time to be the the people that God has called us to be.
